The Jeffrey Leder Gallery is pleased to announce “Balance NYC,” on view at 2137 45th Road, Long Island City from November 11 until December 9, 2012.

"What I dream of is an art of balance" - Henri Matisse

Balance in art is the arrangement of elements so no one part overpowers the other, or seems heavier than the other. There are three different perspectives on balance: symmetrical balance - stable and formal. Asymetrical balance - non-stable and dramatic. Radial balance - alludes to movement.

The participating jurors have selected a group of American and International artists.
The exhibit will occupy 2 floors of the gallery.
